The Sports Emmys currently are being handed out in New York City, and one of our Sunday Night Football colleagues already is hoisting the hardware.
Michele Tafoya of Sunday Night Football has won the first-ever Emmy for Sports Personality-Sports Reporter, according to John Ourand of SportsBusiness Journal. Last season was Michele’s first year with NBC.
Others nominated in the category were NBC’s Pierre McGuire, Ken Rosenthal, Craig Sager, and Tracy Wolfson.
