Quarterback Vince Young still views himself as a starting quarterback. But that won’t keep him from trying out to be a backup.
Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News reports that the Bills will give Young, the third pick in the 2006 draft, a workout on Wednesday.
Young would presumably compete for a spot on the depth chart behind Ryan Fitzpatrick. Currently, Tyler Thigpen is the only veteran understudy on the roster. The Bills recently added former USC quarterback Aaron Corp, who was not drafted.
Young played for the Eagles in 2011. Team president Joe Banner told PFT Live last year that the Eagles wanted Young to sign a two-year deal, but that Young wanted to commit only for one season, so that he could try to get a starting job in 2012.
