NFL Network’s Mike Mayock had the line of the weekend during the draft, explaining that Titans linebacker Zach Brown is “somewhat allergic to contact.”

Brown, taken in round two, denies any suggestion that he shies away from taking and delivering hits.

“I use my finesse sometimes to get around the blocker to make a play,’’ Brown said, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. “So for me, I want to prove [to] everybody [I’m not soft]. I am at Tennessee and I am going to try and make everybody else pay for passing me up, that is a chip on my shoulder.”

Browns thinks his wrestling background should be all the proof anyone needs.

“Some people did tell me that and I was like, ‘OK, line up across from me and then we’ll see who shies away from contact, who the better football player is,’' Brown said.

Did Brown just issue a challenge to Mayock?
