The Washington Redskins announced the signings of seventh-round draft picks Richard Crawford and Jordan Bernstine on Friday afternoon.
On Saturday, fifth-round selection Adam Gettis became the third member of the Redskins’ rookie draft class to sign.
The 141st overall pick, Gettis started 29 games for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Though undersized at 6-foot-2 and 293 pounds, Gettis was one of the top performers in athletic testing at February’s Scouting Combine. He’s a system fit for Mike Shanahan’s zone-blocking scheme.
Gettis played guard in college and may get a look at center in training camp.
The Redskins have six draft picks left to get under contract, but they have an early jump on the rest of the NFL.
