The Raiders will get Tyvon Branch back in the mix today.

Branch, the free agent safety who is the Raiders’ franchise player, will sign his one-year tender offer and report to the team, NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports. That means he’ll get a guaranteed base salary of $6.22 million this season.

A month ago reports said that a long-term deal between the Raiders and Branch was in the works, but nothing has materialized there. Branch still wants a long-term contract to stay in Oakland, but he’s willing to play on the franchise tender for now.

The 25-year-old Branch was the Raiders’ fourth-round draft pick in 2008. He has started all 16 games for each of the last three seasons.
