Adam Caplan reports that the Chicago Bears worked out free agent defensive end Cheta Ozougwu on Thursday.
Ozougwu was the final pick in the 2011 NFL draft, a.k.a. last year’s Mr. Irrelevant. Despite a fairly productive career at Rice, Ozougwu failed to land a practice squad spot with the Texans after being waived at final cuts.
Ozougwu was drafted by Houston to play outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense. He would be a defensive end in the Bears’ 4-3.
