Seven picks signed, Perry to go for Packers

2012 NFL Draft - First Round

Seven of the Green Bay Packers’ draft picks are under contract.

The Packers announced today that second-round pick Jerel Worthy, second-round pick Casey Hayward, fourth-round pick Mike Daniels, fourth-round pick Jerron McMillian, fifth-round pick Terrell Manning, seventh-round pick Andrew Datko and seventh-round pick B.J. Coleman have all signed.

The only remaining unsigned draft pick for the Packers is Nick Perry, the first-round linebacker from USC. Perry’s deal will likely be done soon. The new Collective Bargaining Agreement takes the suspense out of contract negotiations, and there’s really no reason for any rookie deal not to get done quickly. Getting most of the rookie deals done by early May is the new reality in the NFL.
