Joe Montana’s son transfers to West Virginia Wesleyan

Montana-Nate-Notre-Dame-Fighting-Irish-2010-ARTICLE-300x298

My home state of West Virginia is filling up with the immediate family members of Hall of Fame quarterbacks.

The brother of future Hall of Famer Brett Favre already is working for a casino in the northern tip of the state. Now, the son of Hall of Famer Joe Montana will transfer to West Virginia Wesleyan, a Division II school situated roughly 40 miles the spot in my basement where I sit when I type up these stories for your information and/or amusement and/or pity.

Albert Breer of NFL Network reports that Nate Montana will transfer to the school located in Buckhannon, West Virginia. And if it’s good enough to make it near the top of the stack on the league-owned website, it’s good enough for our humble and stubbornly independent operation.

Nate Montana started his college football career at Notre Dame and then transferred to Montana.

Apparently, there’s no Nate University.
