The Bucs have gotten contracts done for all of the players they selected after the first round of the draft.

Linebacker Lavonte David, a second-round pick, has agreed to terms with the team. It’s a four-year deal for the Nebraska product, who the Bucs traded up to take with the 58th overall selection.

David was highly productive while in Lincoln, leading to his inclusion on several All-America teams after the 2011 season. He was a tackling machine for the Cornhuskers, but his less than ideal size made some teams wary about adding him to their linebacking corps. That obviously wasn’t a major concern for Tampa. The Bucs will likely hand him the starting weakside linebacker spot and let him run with it in hopes that his tackling and coverage ability will help the defense turn things around from last season.

The Bucs still need to sign their two first round picks. Safety Mark Barron and running back Doug Martin are expected to join David as major contributors to the Bucs in the coming season>
