Shanahan knocked “a little woozy” at OTA practice

AP

No contact among players is permitted at OTAs.  But the rules say nothing about coaches.

According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, Redskins coach Mike Shanahan was knocked “a little woozy” in a collision between a defensive back and a receiver at mid-field.

Shanahan, per Jones, won’t be meeting with the media on Monday.

So since he won’t be talking today, you may as well check out what he said last week on PFT Live.

  1. Did Titus Young show up at Skins OTA’s after getting banned from Lions OTA’s and SUCKER PUNCH him?

  2. No contact among players is permitted at OTAs.

    Then you say

Mike Shanahan was knocked “a little woozy” in a collision between a defensive back and a receiver at mid-field.

The union already agreed to strip the skins of $36M in cap space. Might as well turn them into the poster child of the “No Contact” rule…..

  3. Maybe if he meets the media today he’ll announce he’s completely confident in going into a season with Rex Grossman as his starting QB….oh wait. That was last year.

  4. Mike Shanahan has VERY sharp teeth. Back when Shanahan was in Denver, I once saw him at the training facility sharpening his teeth on a bench grinder he got from Home Depot. He then proceded to chew right through a 6 inch douglas fur stump. Guy is amazing!

  5. @pocketstraight-can’t tell if that’s a joke or
not, but no contact means no hitting, shoving, or tackling. Players run into each other all the time. Even in little league, all that no contact means is that no one is trying to hit anyone on purpose.
