Leber retires after 10 NFL seasons

pft2010_new13_stroke-1

Veteran linebacker Ben Leber has spent a decade in the NFL. And 10 years will be the limit for Leber; he announced during a Friday appearance on KFAN that he has retired.

Leber, who started his career with the Chargers, signed with the Vikings after four seasons in San Diego. He spent five seasons with the Vikings, helping the team to an NFC title game appearance in 2009.

Last season, Leber signed with the Rams. He appeared in seven games with three starts.

He had a workout with the Eagles in March.

Leber’s career will continue, in a way. He appeared on the cover of the first (and only . . . thankfully) PFT Season Preview magazine, and the blowed-up cover hovers over my toupee during PFT Live and periodic appearances on NBC SportsTalk.
