Jah Reid apparently fine after being carted off practice field

Any time a player is hauled off the field on a cart, there’s cause for concern. But apparently, Ravens guard Jah Reid is OK after suffering a calf strain in the final practice of minicamp.

The former third-round pick is competing for a starting job at left guard, as they try to replace free agent departure Ben Grubbs. But he can also play right tackle, as he did when conditioning issues kept left tackle Bryant McKinnie off the field and Michael Oher shifted to the blind side.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh apparently wasn’t in the mood for injury questions afterward.

“Why are you even asking me,” Harbaugh said tersely, according to Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times. “Why? They are fine, everybody is fine.”

Not sure why the elder Harbaugh was testy. As questions go, asking about Reid’s calf hardly seems diabolical.
