Mewelde Moore has a new NFL home, in a place where he’ll already know the offense.

Moore, a free agent running back who played the last four years in Pittsburgh, has signed with the Colts.

The 29-year-old Moore played his first four NFL seasons with the Vikings from 2004 to 2007 before signing with the Steelers in 2008. Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians was the Steelers’ offensive coordinator during Moore’s four years in Pittsburgh.

In his eight-year NFL career, Moore has played in 113 games with 15 starts. He has a career total of 494 carries for 2,247 yards and six touchdowns, plus 214 catches for 1,875 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Colts have also announced that they released quarterback David Legree, an undrafted rookie who signed with the team on May 17.
