The Bears spent the spring working out without linebacker Brian Urlacher as he rehabbed his knee injury, but the leader of the defense is ready to make a full return.

During an interview with ESPN 1000 radio in Chicago on Thursday, Urlacher said that he will be joining his teammates on the field for their first practice of training camp. Urlacher says that he’s ready to do everything and doesn’t anticipate being held back from doing anything to protect his knee.

“I’m full go for everything, so I won’t be missing anything,” Urlacher said. “One hundred and ten percent, I’m good to go. The vet days that we get every once in a while, we’ll take those when we can, but other than that, I’m good to go.”

Urlacher didn’t want to talk about his contract, which expires after the season . He’s said in the past that he is fine talking about his future with the team after the season, but wouldn’t elaborate during the interview. He did agree with fellow linebacker Lance Briggs about the Bears looking like a Super Bowl contender on paper, though.

The fact that Urlacher’s knee has recovered enough for him to be full go in camp will be a help toward Chicago turning paper into reality.
