We didn’t need a tweet from Packers tight end Jermichael Finley’s wife to let us know that he was ready to get back on the field after suffering a concussion during practice last Thursday.

We got the tweet from Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette instead. Dougherty passed along word of Finley’s return after a few days on the sideline as the Packers were starting practice on Monday morning.

There’s no indication of any limitations for Finley, which fits with last week’s reports that it was a mild concussion. That means that the only potential impact on Finley’s season will come if he suffers another concussion down the road. Should that happen, Finley will have to be treated more conservatively so this injury becomes something to file away for the time being.

Elsewhere in the Packers passing game, wide receiver Greg Jennings remains out with an elbow injury suffered last Friday. He didn’t practice at all over the weekend and the team was hoping to get him back on the field Monday. There’s no sign that it is a serious ailment for Jennings to overcome, although one imagines the team would still prefer to have him on the field.
