Eagles coach Andy Reid wasn’t present at the beginning of Sunday morning’s training-camp practice, according to Tim McManus of PhillyMag.com. Coupled with the fact that the team gathered at the start of the session and knelt down in prayer, concerns immediately arose regarding the health of the head coach.

According to McManus, an Eagles spokesman said Reid “is fine,” and players declined comment while leaving the field. The spokesman said Reid is dealing with a “personal issue.”

Safety Kurt Coleman posted the following on Twitter before practice: “Prayers and condolences go out. May God protect us and serve us in this time of need.”

It all seems a little ominous, but since the Eagles aren’t talking we’ll wait for more details to emerge. G.M. Howie Roseman is expected to address the media.
