Ryan McBean was already going to miss some time, but he may be about to miss a lot more.

McBean suffered a fracture dislocation in his left ankle Thursday night and will require surgery. He is going to Charlotte Monday to see specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.

Anderson’s the same doctor who repaired Terrell Suggs’ torn Achilles (and most of the other high-level feet and ankles that need work).

For McBean, it adds a layer of frustration to an already difficult season.

He’s suspended for the first three games after violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.
