Saints running back Darren Sproles will spend this week nursing a sore knee.

Sproles will sit out Friday night’s preseason game against the Jaguars, Saints coach Joe Vitt confirmed today. However, the injury is not particularly serious, and Vitt said that if it were the regular season, Sproles would go.

Also nursing a knee injury is Saints receiver Adrian Arrington, who had surgery to repair a torn meniscus. There’s no word on when Arrington will be back on the field.

Two New Orleans defensive linemen, Turk McBride and Tom Johnson, have ankle injuries and are expected to miss Friday night’s game as well.
