Colts quarterback Andrew Luck’s finding out in a hurry he doesn’t get to play the Rams every week.

After lighting it up in his preseason debut, the first pick in the draft is having a rough start tonight in Pittsburgh, including an interception which Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor returned for a touchdown.

He was then sacked on his next snap, compounding what’s turning into an much tougher night than his debut.

He was 6-of-12 for 76 yards and the interception in the first quarter, a far cry from the 10-of-16 for 188 yards and two touchdowns last week, including a touchdown on his firts professional pass. He did lead a touchdown drive in the second quarter moments ago, showing some poise.

But on the pick-six, Luck locked onto a receiver like a rookie does, and then didn’t get much on the throw, allowing Taylor an easy path to it.

Because he’s so mature, people are going to forget he’s still a first year player. And when he goes against someone with the experience of Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau, he’s going to struggle at times. The best do. How he handles it will determine if Luck joins them.
