Eagles quarterback Michael Vick isn’t the only player to make an early exit from Monday night’s game with an injury.

Patriots safety Patrick Chung has also returned to the locker room after picking up an injury. Chung looked shaky after making a tackle on Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and his teammates helped direct him to the sideline where he met up with the team’s training staff.

Chung was one of the few Patriots starters to get on the field Monday night, making his injury all the more painful since the team was obviously trying to avoid this exact situation. Chung’s value in the secondary can’t really be overstated after watching New England try and mostly fail to replace him during the eight games he missed with injury last season.

We’ll keep an eye out for any updates on Chung’s condition and pass them along whenever they come along.
