Vikings fans could have a Belichick-Sapp reaction upon arriving at the Metrodome on Friday night and spotting a familiar player wearing No. 28 in full uniform.
But don’t get too excited yet.
Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that running back Adrian Peterson will dress for the game against the Chargers, and that he’ll go through pregame warm-ups. However, Peterson will not play.
Still, it’s the strongest indication yet that, when the Vikings face the Jaguars 16 days later, Peterson will be in uniform -- and he will play.
