If Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert is afraid of anyone, he should be afraid of Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata.
In the first quarter of Thursday night’s preseason game between the Jags and Ravens in Baltimore, Ngata blasted untouched through what the football experts call the “A” gap between the center and left guard in order to impress the rest of us and smothered Gabbert, who didn’t have time to even try to get away.
Gabbert has completed two of five passes for 25 yards, both of which went to rookie Justin Blackmon, who looks like a five-year veteran. The Jags have had two drives, both of which ended in punts.
