The injury to Seahawks receiver Golden Tate’s right knee is serious enough that he’s likely to miss Week One.
Tate, who suffered the injury in the preseason finale, is expected to need at least two weeks to recover, a source told the Seattle Times. The Seahawks haven’t offered any details on Tate’s injury, but Tate didn’t practice on Monday.
While Tate is out, Braylon Edwards will likely take his spot in the Seahawks’ offense.
Last season Tate played in all 16 games and started five. He was third on the team with 35 catches, with 382 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
