Vikes will make Peterson decision Friday night or Saturday morning

We know that Adrian Peterson thinks he’s ready to play this weekend.

We now also know when we’ll find out if the Vikings feel the same way about their running back. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said that he didn’t want to be “conclusive” about Peterson’s status on Thursday. Frazier then went on to say that the Vikings would have all the information they need to make the call on Friday night or Saturday morning.

“Everything we’ve asked him to do thus far, he’s been able to get it done to the point where you believe he’s functioning properly,” Frazier said, via Dan Wiederer of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. “But we want to do some things with him tomorrow as well.”

The Vikings don’t have a full practice on Friday, so the biggest question is likely how well Peterson’s surgically repaired knee held up after increased workload during practices on Wednesday and Thursday. If there hasn’t been any setback on that front, it certainly feels like we’re going to see Peterson on the field Sunday.

Minnesota has to release their injury report on Friday afternoon. Peterson will be on it, we’re guessing he’ll be listed as questionable while the team comes up with their final answer.
