Maybe Kevin Kolb and Tom Brady switched uniforms before today’s Cardinals-Patriots game in New England.

Looking a lot like Brady, Kolb took a snap at the 5-yard line in the fourth quarter today at Gillette Stadium and ran right up the gut, catching the Patriots’ defense off guard and barreling into the end zone for a touchdown. Shockingly, the score gave the Cardinals a 20-9 lead in a game in which they were double-digit underdogs.

As passers, Kolb and Brady have looked basically the same today -- although that says more about how Brady has been off kilter after losing Aaron Hernandez to a high ankle sprain more than it says about Kolb. Early in the fourth quarter, Kolb has completed 14 of 24 passes for 140 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions, while Brady has completed 14 of 25 passes for 150 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.

Brady and the Patriots had better pick it up in a hurry, or they’re going to lose their home opener in a game no one picked them to lose.
