The Jets are heading to Miami without tight end Dustin Keller.
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that Keller, who was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.
Keller also missed last week’s game against the Steelers, and having him out two weeks in a row is a tough blow to a Jets offense that had planned to rely heavily on Keller this season. Last year Keller led the team with 65 catches and 815 receiving yards, but this season Keller has just one catch for seven yards.
With Keller absent, Jets receiver Santonio Holmes will need to prove that he’s right when he says the Jets’ receivers can take advantage of the Dolphins’ secondary.
