C.J. Spiller has sprained shoulder, could be back in two weeks

The Bills and running back C.J. Spiller dodged a bullet today.

Spiller, who entered the game as the NFL’s leading rusher with 292 yards in two games, left with a shoulder injury.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, it’s a sprain of the shoulder -- specifically the A.C. joint -- and he’ll definitely miss one week.

But he could be back in two weeks.

The question then is whether Fred Jackson will make it back next week, when the Bills face the Patriots. Coach Chan Gailey recently said there’s a chance Jackson will return.

If Jackson can’t go, either, Tashard Choice will get the nod. On Sunday against the Browns, Choice had 91 rushing yards in place of Spiller.
