After two years out of football, cornerback Jacques Reeves comeback lasted only two games.

The Chiefs have placed Reeves on injured reserve.

A seventh-round pick in 2004, Reeves spent four years with the Cowboys and two with the Texans. He signed with the Chiefs in the offseason, and injuries to other players resulted in Reeves appearing in two games, including a start in Week One against the Falcons.

Reeves, who turns 30 on October 8, has 36 career starts.
