Reggie Bush back to practice

Despite concerns that Dolphins running back Reggie Bush would miss a game with soreness in his knee, Bush is at practice today and appears to be on course to play Sunday against the Cardinals.

Bush worked in non-contact drills and was a limited participant in practice, but Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post reports that Bush was running well enough that he showed no visible signs of pain, soreness or stiffness in his knee, and that it’s looking like Bush will be good to go on Sunday in Arizona.

After years as mostly a role player in New Orleans, Bush has emerged as a workhorse back in Miami, and he’s currently fifth in the league in rushing with 302 yards, despite missing most of last week’s game against the Jets.

Dolphins cornerback Richard Marshall didn’t practice today as he continues to deal with a back injury.

  1. Anyone who had any doubt that Bush could be ready wasn’t paying attention. Of course, it wouldn’t have been that surprising to give him extra rest because, behind the OL, the tandem of Thomas and Miller has been almost as successful… But Miller still needs to work on his blocking/blitz protection and Thomas needs to work on his fumbling… So even if Bush had been injured, the difference may not have been that significant — maybe a slight drop-off but good experience for the younger runners. But clearly, Bush was never that bad off — a little bruised and swollen maybe.

  2. I can’t wait to see Washington put the full frontal “knock him off his feet” blast on Bush. It will be speed on speed and that collision will be worth watching. But then it might be Acho who gets to hit first, driving Bush full force back 3 yards in the air.

Anyway, you have one of the top NFL’s Defense going against the sputtering Miami Offense. You have the Cards Offense who has grinded and scored against the Seahawks, Patriots, and Philly Defenses now going up against a suspect Miami pass Defense.

OK, if its a miracle game, Miami wins.

  3. Cant wait for Wake and Odrick to eat some Kolb salad. I hope Reggie is hungry too, if he wants to win the rushing tittle he’got about a game and half worth of rushing yards to get! Nom nom nom
