Shortly after Cowboys V.P. Stephen Jones claimed that outside linebacker Anthony Spencer will play tonight, another report emerged saying Jones is wrong.

Citing an unnamed source, Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com reports that Spencer will not play Monday night against the Bears because of a strained pectoral, and Victor Butler will take his place.

So either the ESPN report is wrong, or Jones doesn’t know what’s going on with his team. We’ll find out when the inactives come out in about five hours.
