The Chiefs are hoping to ground the airplanes by keeping the ball on the ground.
With banners flying overhead urging the Chiefs to bench quarterback Matt Cassel, the team did all they could to take it out of his hands early.
Jamaal Charles ran the ball on five of the first six plays, and aside from a lone 25-yard burst, the Chiefs haven’t done much with the ball.
Cassel threw just one pass in two possessions (nine plays), a 7-yarder to Dwayne Bowe.
They’re clearly trying to make things easier for him, after coming in with 15 turnovers, but the Ravens were able to make them punt twice already.
It looks like it won’t be the last time.
