Dwight Freeney active for the Colts

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is going to have to worry about Colts linebacker Dwight Freeney coming off the edge on Sunday.

Freeney missed the last two Colts games with an ankle injury and said late this week that he wasn’t sure if he was going to be able to get back in the lineup for the game against the Packers. Indy has handed in their inactives for the game, however, and Freeney’s name is not on the list. He’s expected to start for the Colts and, if all goes well, aid in their attempt to keep Rodgers and his teammates from lighting up the scoreboard.

Getting pressure won’t necessarily be enough to stop Rodgers and the Packers passing game, however. With Vontae Davis and Justin King out, the Colts would seem to vulnerable at cornerback this Sunday.

The Colts will also have tight end Coby Fleener in the lineup after he was listed as questionable with a head injury. The rookie has eight catches through his first three games and just two since the first week, a bit less than many imagined he’d get while playing with college teammate Andrew Luck in the Colts offense. If he’s fully healthy, that could start to change against the Packers this week.
