In a game that seemed set up for the Texans to jump all over the Jets, and for the New York fans to boo the home team, that’s exactly how things got started.

The Texans received the opening kickoff and made it look easy, methodically marching the ball down the field on an eight-play, 85-yard drive that ended with Matt Schaub hitting Owen Daniels for a 34-yard touchdown pass and a quick 7-0 lead.

The Jets then responded with a disappointing drive that featured a false start penalty and a quick punt. The boos were loud with the Jets’ offense on the field.

The Texans and Jets then traded three-and-outs, with the most exciting moment coming when Tim Tebow got a snap at quarterback and just missed on a deep pass that could have been a touchdown. The Jets can’t afford to miss opportunities like that.
