Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is active for today’s game against the Seahawks.
Hernandez, who has missed the last three games with an ankle injury, was expected to play when the Patriots decided to bring him on the trip to Seattle. There were concerns when he got hurt in Week Two that he could miss up to six weeks, but it appears he healed quickly.
The Patriots are not expected to give Hernandez his normal workload, but having him back in the offense at all is a bonus for a team whose offense has been good without him but will be better with him.
