The Chiefs had a chance to take their first lead in regulation of the year, but it ended up in the Chiefsiest way possible.

Brady Quinn, playing for an injured Matt Cassel, was just intercepted in the red zone to kill a scoring chance, for the Chiefs’ league-high 20th turnover of the year.

Buccaneers safety Mark Barron picked off Quinn’s pass at his own 7-yard line.

Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman also squandered a scoring chance with an interception, and the Bucs and Chiefs are deadlocked at 0-0 late in the first.

It might stay that way.
