Another week, another member of the Texans defense has been lost for the year.

Defensive end Tim Jamison was placed on injured reserve Tuesday after tearing an Achilles tendon on Sunday night against the Packers. The injury came six days after the Texans lost linebacker Brian Cushing for the year with a torn ACL.

Jamison had appeared in all six games this season, with three tackles, one sack, and one pass defensed. "[I] feel bad for Timmy,” coach Gary Kubiak said Tuesday. “He’s worked real hard, and was a big positive going for us.”

Though not nearly as important to the unit as Cushing, Jamison was part of the team’s insurance against an injury to a starter, and now he’s out of the mix.
