Running back Trent Richardson said he had trouble breathing after taking a shot to the ribs against the Bengals last Sunday, but he and the rest of the Browns can breathe more easily today.

Richardson was able to practice on Wednesday and told reporters that he’s not feeling any more pain in what’s been diagnosed as a rib cartilage injury. Richardson said that he might wear some extra padding to protect the injury, but that he’s planning on being on the field against the Colts in Week Seven.

“In my mind I’m ready for Sunday,” Richardson said, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “I’ll be ready to play whole game.”

The injury news for the Browns was good across the board on Wednesday. Wide receivers Mohamed Massaquoi and Travis Benjamin both practiced after sitting out of Sunday’s victory with hamstring injuries. For Massaquoi, it was the first time he’s been able to practice since getting hurt on Sept. 23 against the Bills. Having both receivers in the lineup would help the Browns’ chances of winning two straight games for the first time since last September.
