Ahmad Bradshaw says all is well with his foot

As expected, the Giants got running back Ahmad Bradshaw back at practice on Thursday.

That should mean he’s in the lineup against the Redskins on Sunday, although Tom Coughlin indicated that Andre Brown and David Wilson will both be in the mix for carries after Bradshaw’s toted the rock 57 times in the last two weeks. Bradshaw said he’s ready for as much work as the Giants want to give him and gave a slightly different explanation for how he got hurt than Coughlin gave on Wednesday.

“I feel good, man. No setbacks and I’m ready to go,” Bradshaw said, via Jorge Castillo of the Newark Star-Ledger. “I just got stepped on during the game and it just hurt the bone a little bit, but I’m cool.”

Coughlin said Wednesday that the injury was the “same type thing” that cost Bradshaw time last season. That injury was described as a stress fracture and wound up costing Bradshaw four games, so it would seem that this injury is of a less significant nature.

Bradshaw still has a long history of foot problems, so it wouldn’t be the worst thing for the Giants to scale his carries back a little bit in order to get him through the entire season without missing any more time. Hakeem Nicks also practiced for the Giants, making it two straight days for the wideout and one more step toward being 100 percent after battling foot and ankle injuries of his own.
