Patriots guard Logan Mankins has had a hard time with hip and calf injuries this season and they got the better of him on Sunday.

Mankins is one of the seven inactive Patriots for their home game against the Jets. Donald Thomas started in place of an injured Mankins against the Bills earlier this season and he’s the likeliest man to get the call on Sunday.

Safety Patrick Chung is also inactive. He’s been dealing with a shoulder injury and was listed as questionable on Friday. With Steve Gregory out as well for the Patriots, it looks like the Patriots will be relying heavily on rookies Tavon Wilson and Nate Ebner. We could also see Sterling Moore or Devin McCourty move over from cornerback.

Tight end Aaron Hernandez is active for the Patriots and the Jets will have running back Joe McKnight, but not Bilal Powell. Powell is out with a shoulder injury, which could mean that we see Tim Tebow at running back at some point this afternoon.
