The Jaguars are confident quarterback Blaine Gabbert’s going to be OK to play with an injured left shoulder, listing him as probable for tomorrow’s game at Green Bay.

But they’re giving themselves a little cover, regardless.

The Jags announced they promoted John Parker Wilson from the practice squad, giving them a third behind Gabbert and backup Chad Henne.

Wilson spent parts of three years with the Falcons, so he has background with Jags coach Mike Mularkey from his days as the offensive coordinator.

The Jaguars also activated defensive end John Chick from the physically unable to perform list, and released tackle Herb Taylor and linebacker Brandon Marshall.
