Though it’s not believed that Hurricane Sandy will disrupt Sunday’s NFL games in Philly and New Jersey, things could quickly get very interesting after the day’s games end.
The Giants, for example, will be trying to fly into the mess from Dallas on Sunday night, after finishing a game that kicks off at 4:25 p.m. ET. The Patriots could be stuck in London for a large chunk of their bye week, after wrapping up their game against the Rams.
Then, once the various teams located in the path of the storm get home, they’ll possibly have to deal with disruptions to their practice schedules from wind and water damage and power outages.
Meanwhile, the trade deadline is Tuesday, which could complicate efforts to transact business -- especially if the league office in Manhattan doesn’t have electricity to receive and process proposed deals.
The good/bad news is that it looks like I’ll be right in the middle of all of it, heading to New York later today and figuring out what to do and where to go (and where not to go) after Sunday night’s game between the Saints and Broncos ends.
