At a time when many assume the Eagles’ offense will find their missing mojo on Monday night against the Saints’ overmatched defense, it’s easy to overlook the fact that the Philly defense isn’t exactly dominant -- and that the New Orleans offense still sort of is.
Making it harder for the unit previously coordinated by Juan Castillo to contain the Saints is the status of safety Nate Allen and defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins.
Both are questionable. Allen didn’t practice again on Friday after tweaking a hamstring on Thursday. Jenkins fully participated in practice on Saturday, despite a knee injury.
Receiver Mardy Gilyard (hamstring) and guard Danny Watkins (ankle) are out. Probable are cornerback Brandon Boykin (toe), tackle King Dunlap (hamstring), and defensive end Phillip Hunt (calf).
