The Bears improved to 7-1 with a complete and thorough demolition of the Titans, finishing with a 51-20 margin.
It was 28-2 in the first quarter, and it didn’t get any more interesting the rest of the day. The Bears forced five turnovers, and scored on an interception return and a blocked punt.
And an offense that looked like it was going to sleepwalk through caught up in the second half, with Jay Cutler (19-of-26 for 229 yards) and Brandon Marshall (nine catches for 122 yards and three touchdowns) playing pitch and catch.
The Titans are now 3-6, and officially floundering without Jake Locker. Until he returns, they’re just treading water, Matt Hasselbeck’s good enough to be good enough, but until they take a step forward offensively, they’re not going anywhere.
