Three weeks ago, Lions rookie cornerback Chris Greenwood emerged from the Physically Unable to Perform list, joining practice.
But now the Lions have decided he’s not ready to suit up and play.
Via the Detroit News, the Lions have announced that Greenwood will not play this year. Greenwood, a fifth-round pick in the April draft, underwent abdominal surgery in May.
Greenwood will now return to the reserve Physically Unable to Perform list for the balance of the season.
