The Texans will head into their matchup with the 7-1 Bears on Sunday night without one of Matt Schaub’s favorite targets.

Tight end Owen Daniels will not play as a result of the hip injury that bothered him all week. Daniels missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday before returning in limited fashion for Friday’s session. The team said he’d be evaluated before the game and he obviously came up short of what they wanted to see.

Running back Ben Tate, guard Brandon Brooks, guard Cody White, cornerback Rashad Carmichael, defensive lineman Shaun Cody and safety Troy Nolan are the other inactive Texans.

The Bears will be without wide receiver Alshon Jeffery for the fourth straight week as they wait for him to recover from his hand injury. Jeffery was listed as doubtful on the team’s final injury report of the week.

Defensive tackle Matt Toeaina was also doubtful and he’s also inactive. The rest of the inactives are wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, offensive lineman Edwin Williams, tight end Brody Eldridge, defensive tackle Amobi Okoye and defensive end Cheta Ozougwu.
