Earlier this week, Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn said he’d been cleared to play after suffering a concussion against the Raiders last month. The next day, Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel said otherwise.

Now, the player and the team apparently are on the same page.

Quinn has been cleared to play on Sunday against the Bengals, according to Jeff Darlington of NFL Network.

That said, Quinn likely won’t. Matt Cassel is slated to lead the offense against Cincinnati, as the Chiefs try to get their first win at home since December 18, 2011, when they somehow upset the then-unbeaten Packers.
