The man who recruited Matthew Masifilo to Stanford gave him a job with the 49ers. And now Masifilo has been recruited elsewhere by another former college coach.

The Buccaneers and Greg Schiano have signed the first-year defensive tackle from the 49ers’ practice squad, and Jim Harbaugh.

It’s unknown whether Masifilo left because he hates his boss.

Masifilo, undrafted in April, had signed with San Francisco in the offseason. He was cut before the regular season began, but Masifilo then joined the Niners’ practice squad.
