Aqib Talib pays back Patriots faith, put them up 21-14

Like I said, this game could end up in the 50s.

The Patriots turned a 14-7 deficit into a 21-14 lead in a hurry, thanks to a 68-yard punt return by Julian Edelman, and a 59-yard interception return for a touchdown by the just-acquired Aqib Talib.

Talib picked an overthrown Andrew Luck pass (Reggie Wayne appeared to be quite open) and zig-zagged across the field for the score, a nice debut for the former Buccaneer. The play was made by Vince Wilfork’s pressure up the middle, which caused Luck to change his motion slightly.

But this one has all the marks of a game that will go back and forth all night, and be decided on the final possession.

Or, in the fashion of the early games, in overtime.
