In a season when everything is going wrong for the Jaguars, an injured throwing elbow for starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert is the latest problem.

Gabbert injured his right elbow in the first quarter of today’s game with the Texans and was replaced by backup Chad Henne.

Gabbert had also been dealing with an injury to his left shoulder, but an injury to his throwing arm is a greater concern.

The good news for the Jaguars is that Henne got off to a hot start, hitting Justin Blackmon for a 63-yard pass, then hitting Blackmon again in the end zone for a pass that would have been a touchdown, if Blackmon hadn’t dropped it, and then throwing another pass into the end zone that was caught by Marcedes Lewis for a touchdown. The Jaguars and Texans are tied 7-7.

UPDATE 2:04 p.m. ET: Another touchdown pass from Henne gave the Jaguars a 14-7 lead, then Matt Schaub came back with his second touchdown pass to make it 14-14.
