Henne era not off to a great start in Jacksonville

Well, if the final six games of the season are an audition for Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne for 2013, he might want to consider renting rather than buying.

Henne’s first pass as the Jaguars starter was picked off by Titans cornerback Alterraun Verner. Granted, since they’re playing the Titans, it didn’t hurt that much, but they turned it into a field goal and a 3-0 lead.

Henne came back on his next drive and completed passes of 18 and 23 yards, but later took two straight sacks to turn an opportunity to a fourth-and-27.

They probably wouldn’t even give passing mention to Henne for the long-term if Blaine Gabbert wasn’t so underwhelming this year, but when you’re 1-9 and 0-5 at home, it’s the kind of thing you have to talk about.
